I was thankful for the little things this week...
...dancing at the park w/ Lila
...reading "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie", "If You Give a Pig a Pancake", and the other "If You..." books. Lila thinks they're so funny and I haven't read them in years!
...tile floor for accidents. Walt has been spitting up quite a bit and several times this week it's ended up on the floor (yuck, I know!).
...watching butterflies with Lila. We went outside on short walks several times and to the park and it was fun to notice all the butterflies that spring has brought to the neighborhood.
...waking up to a smiling baby boy. This has to be the sweetest part of motherhood!
...a husband who is the baby whisperer. Darren is awesome at using Dr. Harvey Karp's methods of swaddling and jiggling to get Walt to sleep in record time. Some day's I think we should trade jobs :o)
...a small miracle that Walt slept thru us going out for Indian food...mmmm, tikka masala :)
...BLT + A sandwiches...mmmm, so good, why didn't I make these at home sooner??!
...paninis at home. Again, why did I wait so long to make these at home??
...easy trip to HEB (grocery store) and remembering to buy stamps!

...Walt is starting to interact with toys and reaches for and bats at toys hanging from the car seat.
...playing princesses with Lila.
...going to our favorite place (the library).
...back to cardio! Ok, I must be honest here...I was thankful that I found some time to go for a run, but it kicked my rear-end. I ran out one mile and couldn't run anymore, so I walked back home. I thought jogging 2 miles was going to be no big deal, just like it was at 19 weeks pregnant, even if I was slow. A couple days later I thought I would rollerblade instead because I've always loved rollerblading (and I don't love running!), but it kicked my behind as well. I just have to be ok with taking time to get my endurance back and enjoying cardio...all in time.
Here's some pics from the past week, some from my and iPhone some from the Nikon.
