The new house

I've been slacking on getting these pictures posted. And I have no excuses. Last week was uneventful and I took most of the house pics over a week ago. I've been feeling reasonably good lately. I found that I feel really good in the mornings if I get up between 7-7:30 and immediately go for a short run, then have breakfast. With this new regimen in place I have no excuse for not being more productive.  I'll be working on that this week.  I'm realizing that it's time for me to set a consistent schedule now that I'm not taking classes on campus. A schedule keeps me productive...no schedule makes me unproductive. Anyone else out there feel this way? I think I've come to the point where I should have a set laundry and cleaning times/day(s), a day and time set for weekly visits to the library, a predictable grocery shopping schedule, etc. We'll see how it goes and I'll report back. If anyone has any tips about the stay-at-home-mom schedule thing, let me ...

Creativity has struck...help please!

Our new ward has asked each family in the ward to make a quilt square that will be made into a quilt for the bishop and given to him for Christmas. I thought I could get out of it since we're new, but they asked for it anyway, so I let my creative juices flow. The one request was that the family's name be on the quilt square. Thoughts on this anyone? I don't think I've ever made a quilt square before, so I'm not sure how difficult some techniques might be. Inspiration for the faces came from this  appliqued & embroidered pillow I saw on the Oh Dee Doh blog: So my original idea was to cut out the little faces from fabric and  applique and embroider them on. Good idea or not? Too much wor...

A few pictures

Well, we've been hard at work unpacking and settling into our new place. I haven't taken any photos of the interior yet because it is not picture worthy yet! I hope by the end of this week to remedy the situation. Until then you'll have to make do with these pictures: Lila at the hotel just before we moved to our house (isn't she getting so big??), me at 15.5 weeks prego (and sucking it in--I really look a bit more pregnant than that!), the front our house, and Darren working on the shelves we put up in the garage on Labor Day (yes, we labored!).  Ultrasound for the baby is set for October 4th and I can't wait to find out we're having! My guess is a boy and Lila is guessing she's getting a little sister (so she said when asked during FHE tonight). Who do you think is right?
