My favorite person's birthday

Yesterday was a most beautiful day for celebrating my best friend and partner in life. The kids and I made cinnamon rolls and coffee and placed photo albums and birthday cards on the table in the morning. A simple and love-filled morning hanging around the front porch and dining table was enjoyed.

Later we took Darren to the skate park and enjoyed the beauty of fall in the Grand Valley, surrounded by trees in yellows and reds.
We wrapped up the day with an evening enjoying a warm slow cooker meal and banana cake together followed by a few rounds of the game 6-pack (or Golf, depending on that name you know it by).

I love Darren more than I could share over a blog post. He is the most patient and gracious human I know and his immense knowledge is unmatched in anyone I've met. It is an ever evolving adventure to be his life partner. I am beyond lucky to be sharing my life with such an amazing and wonderful human! 💖

I've learned how to give and receive friendship. I've come to love and accept myself as I am. I know I am stronger than ever (and not just my muscles, but truly I think I am physically at my...
