Monday
I'm feeling incredibly blessed today to have my family together! Even if Lila did have a meltdown on our outing and skipped her nap, I'm so happy I endured it beside my wonderful husband. That wonderful husband also had news today about an exciting new direction for his career. All the highs and lows of Darren's work since moving to Austin last year seem to be culminating into something great for the future. I'm really humbled and so very grateful.
Tuesday
I was so grateful to come home! I was so thankful to our bishop's wife who picked us up from the airport at 12:30 AM. Yeah, she's basically a saint. The house was just as we left it: clean and tidy.
Wednesday
We made it grocery shopping, and it was no small task to get my girl to part with the room and her toys that she hadn't seen in 5 weeks! I was just happy we got it done and I made dinner. How's that for our first say home? :)
Thursday
We all slept in. I was especially happy about this. We took Darren to lunch and downtown for work and again it was nice to go out together as a family (meltdown-free even).
Friday
I had the opportunity to provide service to a sister a visit teach. I hope I can make serving my fellow sisters a more regular thing. We also went to a friend's wedding reception and Lila had a lot of fun dancing with her friends.
Saturday
I finished the unpacking! I also made arrangements ahead of time, so Darren and I made it to the adult session of Stake Conference.
Today
We got to Stake Conference on time and we all had naps this afternoon. Darren was also so kind to clean the kitchen for me after dinner. I'm so glad to have him around!
