Exactly one month after my last post, I am finally back to blogging! I thought once the semester was finished that I would be blogging immediately and all the time. Well, finals came and went, and then there was a week of packing, and then a week of settling in, and I am finally taking some time to catch up. This post is mostly going to be pictures, and of course mostly of Lila. She's growing so fast! I can hardly believe that she will be 6 months this week. Time really does fly!

Here is Lila in her excersaucer in the living room of our apartment. If you notice the balcony in the back, you can kind of see our view of the woods. It's very pretty here and I have been enjoying bird watching from the balcony.

I have made 4 beautiful loaves of bread since arriving here. I was so impressed at how well they rose since my last 3 loaves of bread back in Utah were not so pretty!

Last week I took Lila to the pool for the first time. Here is she is on the couch getting ready to go outside. Didn't she pose herself so adorably with her little hands together?

Here she is outside lounging by the pool. She LOVES to be outside and she was very excited at the moment.

Here we are posing for a photo. Shortly before this I dipped her feet in the water and she screamed. It was too cold for her. We'll have to try swimming again when it's warmer!

Just hanging out, looking cute.

What a happy girl!

This was taken at the zoo. We went on Monday and the weather could not have been more perfect!

She didn't like the stroller at first, so she ended up in the sling for awhile. By the way, this is the sling I made. If you're interested in the pattern for it, you can find it here.

I didn't take many pics of the animals at all, but I thought this tortoise was cute.

It wasn't long after Lila was in the sling that she fell asleep and I transferred her back to the stroller. I only bought the stroller last Thursday, so she's still getting used to it. Right now she still prefers to ride around in the sling.

If I were to say what animal was Lila's favorite, I would have to say it was the lorikeets. When we were inside the lorikeet aviary she had the chance to see these birds up close. I think she liked their bright colors too.
I haven't taken any pictures of our visits to the local farmer's market, but we've been there twice.
Today I took Lila on three walks because she wasn't in an especially good mood. We took two walks around the apartment complex in the sling, and one walk in the stroller to the library. She fell asleep on all of our walks today, and that was exactly what she needed. Sometimes it takes going out for a walk to get this girl to settle down.
We have really been enjoying ourselves and all of our new and old Apx friends. Most of our outings have been in the company of other Apx wives. We're looking forward to more new adventures this summer which I will be sure to blog about!
